Long-focus London - Series 1

These photographs were shot on film using a catadioptric (mirror) lens 20 cm in diameter with a focal length of 1.08 metres, giving extreme foreshortening and a very shallow depth of field. The photographic prints are about 12 x 16 inches (including a small margin).

Thames Barrier 1

Shot in 1982 from the approach to the Woolwich Ferry. The view has changed dramatically since then. The tower of Bankside Power Station (now Tate Modern) can be seen about 7 miles away.
